WMR HEAT week rehearsal 8/2

THURSDAY August 2, 2018

12:45-1 PM. Leadership arrives for set up. 

1-1:15 PM  Rehearsal starts INSIDE (Auditorium).

1:15-1:45.  Music rehearsal on “You’re Welcome”, “This is Me”

1:45-1:55. Transition outside

1:55-2:45. Stretch (10 Minutes)
  Opener Run 1-13 on counts
  Set 9-13 WITH music
  Sets 1-13 WITH music
2:45-2:55 Water Break

2:55-3:45. Teach sets 13-17 “Incredibles”.  Run on counts.

3:45-3:55. Water break

3:55-4:45 Teach sets 17-20 of “Incredibles” on counts.  Run 17-20 on counts. Run 13-20 on counts. Run ALL of “Incredibles” in counts. 

4:45-5 pm clean up field. Pre-dinner announcements. Dismiss for dinner.


5-6 PM.             DINNER

6:00-7:00 PM Outside. Box drill elimination. 13-20 “Incredibles” WITH music. All of “Incredibles” with music. If we are ahead, we may start to learn a little of the beginning of “You’re Welcome” on counts.

7:00-8:00 sectionals. WW with Schmitz. Brass with Mr. Zimmerman Percussion with Shervey. Guard on grassy knoll or activity center.

8:00-8:15 PM
                   Rehearse “You’re Welcome“ and “This is me” in auditorium. 
                   

8:15-8:30 PM Final Announcements in auditorium. Rehearsal will end in the auditorium.

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MARCHING BAND

  1. If you did NOT pick up your blue Woodbury band t-short, please see us in the band office after rehearsal and do it tonight! Everyone should wear them to rehearsal tomorrow (8/3)
  2. Spirit Wear is available during HEAT week.  Mrs. Devore will have a display on Friday during the preview show.
  3. Track Jackets have been ordered (if you purchased one).  They will likely be done in three weeks.
  4. Golden Tickets will be available at dinner on Monday.  You receive a golden ticket for working WAA concessions (or your parents) this Summer.  Please pick them up on MONDAY!  They can be used to: 1) Enter raffle drawings for awesome gift cards 2) cut to the front of the dinner line 3) Get 1 letter point per ticket. You need 20 points to letter for a school year.
  5. We will sign up for HOTEL ROOMS and BUSSES/FLIGHTS for California on Friday after the preview performance for parents.  There are 2 55-passenger busses and there will be four students to a hotel room.
