WMR Rehearsal Agenda and Announcements 9/25

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2018

5:15-5:30 PM     Gather equipment, meet in the BAND ROOM for the start of rehearsal

5:30-5:40 PM     Rehearsal starts in the BAND ROOM.  Royal Rouser, watch video of Friday 9/21 performance, discuss.

5:40-5:50 PM     Music rehearsal on “This is Me”

5:50-6:00 PM     Transition to VARSITY FOOTBALL FIELD

6:00-6:10 PM     Stretch with Mrs. Moreno

6:10-6:30 PM     Review sets 10-14 of “You’re Welcome”-Counts, Sing, Play and move

6:30-7:00 PM     Pick up poker chips, review sets 1-5 “This is Me”

7:00-7:05 PM     Water Break

7:05-7:35 PM     Review sets 5-10 of “This is Me”

7:35-8:00 PM     Full run of THE WHOLE SHOW for the first time from off field

8:00-8:10 PM     Discuss successes and areas for growth on full run

8:10-8:20 PM     Full run ON THE FIELD of the show

8:20-8:30 PM     Announcements and Dismissal FROM THE FIELD.  Please be patient and allow time for students to transition equipment from the field back to the band room.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

•All students and chaperones are paid in full for California.  THANK YOU!!!!!! You all did wonderfully with this.

•The date of the California PRE-TRIP meeting is TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9^th.  Due to a conflict with the choir MASTERWORKS rehearsal at Park that night, the new meeting time will be 5:30 PM (the normal start time for marching band).  Rehearsal on 10/9 will be for STUDENTS TRAVELLING TO CALIFORNIA ONLY! This should allow time for choir students to get to Park HS by 7 PM. All travelling students MUST attend with at least one parent. This is essential to a successful trip.

•Friday is HOMECOMING.  Timeline for students will still be 5 PM dinner, 6 PM Inspection, 6:15 PM step-off, 6:30 PM pre-game music, 6:50 PM Star Spangled Banner, 7 PM game start, approx. 8 PM halftime, approximately 9:30 PM dismissal

•District festival is on October 13, 2018 (Saturday).  Plan on students being to ERHS at 10 AM and dismissal around 3:30 PM.  The show time has been moved to 2 PM this year (NOT 1 PM) to accommodate our special guests…the SKOL line from the MN Vikings!
