  1. FRIDAY, October 12th is our final FOOTBALL GAME PERFORMANCE.  Timeline is the same as all three previous games with ON EXCEPTION: If you are a Senior OR a Senior Parent you are expected to be at the Varsity Football Field at 6 PM for the Senior Night Presentation.  Seniors should be allowed to eat dinner FIRST!  Seniors, you must be in full uniform for a 5:45 PM SENIORS ONLY inspection.  After this inspection you can walk as a group to the Varsity Field.  All other students will be inspected at 6 PM and cadence to the field as normal.  Pre-Game music on the track will only be with 9th-11th graders this game.

ADDITIONALLY, all students need to SIGN OUT their uniform for District 833 Marching Band Festival on Friday night from 5-5:45 PM in the auditorium.  Instructions on CARE for your uniforms while they are not at the school will be attached to your hangar.  Uniforms of students NOT traveling to California will be labeled with a LIME GREEN sheet.  Students who ARE traveling to California will have their uniforms labeled with a Hot Pink sheet.  Uniforms labeled with a LIME GREEN label sheet MUST be returned at the end of the District 833 Marching Band Showcase on Saturday, October 13th.  Students should plan on RETURNING to the ERHS CHOIR ROOM after the performance (approximately 3:30 PM) to RETURN their shako box, marching uniform jacket, and marching uniform bibs.  Students keep the shoes and gloves they purchased.  All students traveling to California labeled in HOT PINK will bring their shakos (in the box), uniform jacket, and uniform bibs HOME to pack for the California trip.  More details about HOW to pack the uniform will be given to all families at the pre-trip meeting on Tuesday, October 9th.

  1. There will NOT be any rehearsals the week of our MEA Break trip.  We WILL meet at the school and take a bus to the airport on Thursday, October 18th.  This is necessary to ensure that all students arrive to the flight on-time and that all equipment we need to perform gets on the plane with us.  Students will need to be at WHS at 4 AM. Our first flight LEAVES at 6:05 AM, which means we need to be at the airport by 5 AM at the LATEST.  Trust me, just thinking about that time pains me, but it is worth it for the fun we are going to have!  Go to bed EARLY on Wednesday and take a long nap on the two flights to LA!

Additionally, please remember that there are currently two fundraisers going on…Gerten’s Poinsettia Sales and Metro Dining Club cards.  Order forms are attached for both.  Please plan on getting these in by a week from Monday (October 15th, 2018) at 3:30 PM. I know there is a lot going on! It will feel great when we have awesome performances and an even better trip.  Please get some rest this weekend, and I will see you next week for the start of a busy schedule coming up.  Have a great day!

Sincerely,
Mr. Katzenmeyer
