Woodbury Band Earns "Spirit of Chicago" Award at the Chicago Worldstrides Heritage Festival!

In an awards ceremony at Medieval Times on Saturday, April 26 the Woodbury High School Concert Band was awarded the prestigious "Spirit of Chicago" Award. This award reflects the best aspects of music and it's impact beyond performance. The "Spirit of Chicago" award is presented to the band that best reflects the values of community, team, integrity, and service. This award is only presented to one school that attended the festival, and the festival stewards collect information from bus drivers, hotel workers, festival officials, and directors regarding the group's sense of team and etiquette during their stay in Chicago. It makes traveling to perform such a joy when we can bring the spirit of team and community, also know as the "Woodbury Way", to other parts of the world. It's a great day to be a Royal! Way to go, Band!!
